How QR Code Order Tracking Works for Restaurants
QR order tracking lets customers follow their order on their own phone. Here is how it works for the customer and for your team.

The QR code is the order
Each order gets its own QR code. Scanning it opens a page for that order only, so customers never see anyone else's details and always land on the right order.
What the customer sees
The page shows the order number, whether it is being prepared or ready, and an estimated wait. It updates by itself, and works in any modern phone browser with no app to install.
What your team does
Staff see all open orders on one screen. When food is ready they tap once, and the customer's page changes immediately. When the order is handed over, they mark it collected.
Alerts on the phone
The ready screen comes with sound and vibration, and customers can allow notifications so the alert reaches them even when they are in another app. Exact behaviour depends on each phone's settings, so the page always shows the status clearly too.
Why it shortens the queue
When customers can see their status, they stop waiting at the counter and stop asking staff for updates. The pickup area stays clear and the team keeps its focus on preparing orders.
